My Story...

My name is Michelle Bibbens and I am a single 36 year old woman with no babies, unless you count my two cats ;) I have been passionate about food as medicine for over ten years now. My inquisitiveness for how food heals us started when I found out that raw milk is alive and has so many benefits compared to pasteurized milk.

But even before that, my distrust in western medicine as a whole started when my Mom died 16 years ago. She had cancer in her early twenties and the chemotherapy and radiation she received was eventually her demise and the effects of it killed her 20 years later.

After she died, I stopped going to the doctors and something in my spirit stopped wanting their advice when I had seen so much failure over and over again for them missing the big picture when it comes to people’s lifestyles and their lack of helping them with nutritional counseling. There was never any talk of my diet, just a one sided conversation sounding something like, “Here’s this pill” or “Here’s this shot. You better take it!”

I have officially walked away from that western medicine mindset and am fully embracing health in a wholistic approach. I am hardly ever sick now, have maintained the same healthy weight and have quit drinking alcohol because I don’t need it! I’m not depressed anymore!! I know tips and tricks in how to combat things like seasonal depression or even PMS using the right tools like sunshine and the right food to help release excess estrogen like raw carrots!!

You’re here because you want to be well, too, and I hope to show you the big picture of health and wellness as a whole. It can be overwhelming taking in all the information but I’ve simplified it by creating seven habits for seven days. It doesn’t have to be complicated and my hope is to help change your mindset so that you start to see these little habits as a way to nourish and feed your body good things, staying away from toxins and using the ground under our feet and the sun in the air and the water we have access to to give us optimal health.
